Originally formed by Jakkie East, Jimmie Thim, and Johannes Hoff under a different name in 2012, Jakkie’s Freakshow started writing and putting together songs mainly for the forming members. The idea was to write what came to mind, over time an original sound was made. In 2017 they decided to bring Max Stångberg along for the ride.
Struggling to find a suitable singer to make Jakkie’s Freakshow a live band the songs kept stacking up.
With an endless library of songs the band in early 2018 finally found the right voice to helm the role of lead vocals in Nicklas Scholander.
In the short period of time the band has been active as a live band they have managed to get support spots for some of Sweden’s bigger acts with great response from the audience and main acts.
The first single Built to Last was released by themselves and well retrieved by the audience in March 2018.
And the name you ask? Jakkie claims he had nothing to do with it. Nothing at all.
