Olivier Pépin is Jalouse - ask him why. The Montrealer first made a name for himself as a musical director and multi-instrumentalist for Pierre Kwenders. Olivier Pépin incarnates the word polymath.
As a solo artist, he lets himself be guided through accidents and setbacks in order to surprise himself, and harvest the the results of his experimentations in a patchwork of experimental pop: combining art-pop, synthesized chamber pop and 80’s French pop. Jalouse articulates his songs around nocturnal observations, self-examinations and forgiveness, resulting in a "perfect blend of dark and guilty pleasure". Following the Compostelle EP released in early 2022, Jalouse will release its 1st album Nature Morte under Pantoum Records in early 2023.
