James Alexander

James Alexander is an American composer, singer-songwriter, music producer, musician and poet of Indian origin. He considers A.R Rahman as his musical guru. At an early age, he was deeply influenced by the music in films like Roja, Bombay, Duet, Rangeela and Taal. James loves to listen to soundtracks. He first started composing music in 8th grade and has written many songs in different languages. Most of his songs were composed during 1992 – 2000. After a hiatus of 18 years in the software industry, James has come back to music in 2008 and released his debut album Tiananmen. He currently produces his music at Red 13 Studios in Framingham, MA.


Since the release of his album, James has been working in support of the Hong Kong Protests getting word out about the human rights violations perpetrated in close coordination between the local Govt, Police, Triads and the Chinese CCP. All his photos on Spotify have been updated in solidarity with the brutality against protestors in the recent weeks (August 2019).
