James Beck hails from the thick evergreen forests of Western Washington. He grew up immersed in music and performing arts, but in the isolation of 2020, he fell head-over-heels in love with lyricism and songwriting. Inspired by the farms, forests and rusted out trucks of rural Washington State, paired with the heart and mind piercing lyrics of folk and country artists of the 1950s-1980s. He aspires to carry on their profound, lyrical craft, even if just as an ash from the luminous, roaring flame of inspiration that their music represents to so many. James strives to use his music to bring together a thriving community of fans and musicians to tend the hearth and play their part in keeping the art form alive, for generations to come.
