Grit, soul, and vintage swagger.”

James Bushen is a one-man rock ‘n’ roll revival, blending the raw emotional grit of Hendrix with the anthemic bite of The Who and the melodic introspection of Liam Gallagher’s solo work. From heartfelt ballads like “My Sweet Love” to the swagger-fuelled riffs of “I Want To Know That You’re Mine,” Bushen’s sound is a love letter to classic rock, shaped by a lifetime of listening to vinyl and playing Strat through valve amps.

Based in the UK, James writes, records, and produces all of his music independently, drawing influence from blues, Britpop, psychedelia, and garage rock. His debut album Influences is both a tribute to his heroes and a bold step into his own voice.

Whether it’s a Hendrix-style guitar line or a lyric you swear you’ve felt before, Bushen’s music doesn’t just sound like the golden era—it feels like it.
