In 2006, James Carrington's song "Ache" was featured in the hit U.S. television series "Smallville." Within 24 hours his website and Myspace site had taken over 130,000 hits, which led to him becoming the number 1 artist on Myspace in the US in his category. “Ache” has also been featured on the hit US TV shows “ER”, “Side Order of Life”, “One Life to Live”, “The Vampire Diaries” and ‘The Lying Game”. 2 of his songs were also used on the award winning documentary Skid Row featuring Pras Michel from The Fugees and on the soundtrack album for Werner Herzog's movie "Rescue Dawn". He recorded his 2nd album The Dreamers Machine at the legendary Henson studios including:
Michael Landau, Luis Conte, Tom Coster, Abe Laboriel and Abe Laboriel Jr. The album was produced and financed by Klaus Badelt. James Guthrie, the Grammy Award winning producer and engineer of Pink Floyd, mixed the album. Then in 2016 James released No man’s Land. No longer signed to a record label it was a heartfelt collection of songs that his fans had demanded. His new album will be released in 2021. Produced by Paul Freeman and featuring John Trivers on bass, it was financed and supported by Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan. Since settling in Los Angeles in 2010 he has co written with the following award winning writers: Sacha Skarbek, Blair Mackichan, Jamie Hartman, Martin Briley, Mateo Laboriel, David Franz, Ian Honeyman, Magnus Fiennes, Jesse String, Lola Lennox, Paul Freeman, Carly Lind and Willow Robinson.
