James Grover is a full-time songwriter and producer from north England, based at the well-known Tileyard Studios in London, UK (which has also played home to Mark Ronson, Sigala, The Prodigy, Lily Allen, Sub Focus and many more)
He produces pop-leaning deep house under the name YCONN, and writes + sings under his own name, featuring his vocals, lyrics and melodies on tracks from other EDM/house producers.
He learnt production by running a karaoke-track-making company for ten years, and along this way he learnt to be a vocal chameleon, able to mimic different artists and different vocal styles to suit each individual song.
