Born in Cleveland and raised on the South Shore of Lake Erie, James Isom’s sound is forged in the rust, rain, and blazing sun of the Midwest. A true music lifer with hundreds of shows, songs, and stories to his name, he spent his formative years in a high school band with his brother—traveling further than they should have to play bars they weren't yet old enough to enter.
Those early miles evolved into a career of rowdy, sweat-soaked rock and roll across the Heartland, selling CDs out of a van just to keep the tank full. Today, he draws from a deep well of experience as a musician, firefighter, and family man to craft songs that are as honest as they are weathered. His latest project, the ambitious Midwest Songbook, Vol. 1-4, is set for release on January 30, 2026.
