James is a Singer Songwriter from the small town of Park Hills, Kentucky. He grew up on a steady diet of the great Singer Songwriters such as James Taylor, Yusuf, Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, Carole King and John Denver. He took up the trombone unsuccessfully in grade school but found his voice under the loving guidance of Carol Graham, his high school choir director.
James has been a poet and lyricist ever since and began writing songs with the help of Nick Tuttle and Dr. Jim Wendel whom he met at the Nicholas Tuttle guitar studio in Cincinnati. If you drew a 50 mile circle around the intersection of country, folk, the blues and rock n’ roll you’d be at home with his Americana style. James has written about 90 songs, so stay tuned, there’s more to come.
