Singer-songwriter-parking lot attendant Jamie Anderson has played her unique original songs in hundreds of venues in four countries. She’s a multi-instrumentalist who’s folk without the Birkenstocks, country without the big hair and jazz without the angst. Her 13 recordings include the recently released EP Songs from Home, with music written during the pandemic where she and her engineer play all the instruments.
Songs range from the serious “Dark Chocolate” to the tongue-in-cheek “I Miss the Dog (More Than I Miss You)”. “Run River Run” is a bluegrass tune and "Black and White" is a thoughtful jazz number about growing older.
Jamie’s also a music teacher with over 74K subscribers for her YouTube channel that’s packed with free music lessons for guitar, mandolin and ukulele. Performance videos of original songs, too.
She taught herself guitar at 15, memorizing every chord in a Mel Bay songbook. Jamie did her first tour in 1987 because she needed to earn gas money to get to a music festival. She’s been collecting tiny motel soaps ever since.
Jamie is the author of 3 books, Drive All Night, An Army of Lovers, and Drive All Day (Because I'm Too Old to Drive All Night).
Jamie’s expressive voice and personable stage manner are an asset to any stage. She’s legally blind in one eye so you really don’t want to hand over the keys to your Volvo unless your insurance is up to date.
