One of the UK’s finest solo guitarists and busiest session guitar players, Jamie McCredie has toured & recorded in every corner of the world; lending his talents to a multitude of artists including;
James Morrison, Roísin Murphy, Jo Harrop, Emeli Sandé, Will Young, Joss Stone, Beverly Knight, Kid Creole, Tokio Myers, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Robbie Williams, K.T. Tunstall, Steps, X-Factor, BGT, to name just a handful - alongside hundreds of film, T.V. & radio sessions.
After winning BBC Radio guitarist of the year aged 19, Jamie’s unique voice on the instrument (fiery blues-meets-jazz, with deep knowledge of classical tradition & staggering technical facility) has since defined him as one of the UK’s premier solo instrumentalists; Thriving on the biggest headline stages in the world, (Glastonbury, Coachella, Montreux & North Sea Jazz Festivals etc ) alongside the most intimate and connective (Ronnie Scott’s, Cadogan Hall etc).
Also an award winning producer, Jamie recorded, mixed & played on the widely successful jazz duet Weathering the Storm with Jo Harrop, securing numerous Record of the Week accolades across the UK and beyond, enjoying support from Iggy Pop, Jo Whiley 6Music, Jamie Cullum & many others.
As a producer & engineer he won the Parliamentary Jazz Award producing Paul Edis & Jo’s masterpiece When Winter Turns to Spring in 2023.
Now concentrating his efforts to step forward from sideman duties, Jamie is writing and recording his debut album now.
