JAMIKU is a female Dutch artist who from a young age knew what her destiny was: music. As she grew older, her need to express herself became stronger and she started to write songs. She was mesmerized by different sounds and cultures and loved to dance for hours to genres like reggaeton, dancehall, reggae and afrobeats. It made her feel confident and powerful and she wanted to make other people feel the same way.
She had to overcome a lot of insecurities and find her own sound in music. To do that, she became her own music producer which gave her the recourses to figure things out on her own. She knew that she had a lot to say but had to learn how to say it. Now her goal is to tell her story through upbeat but nonetheless emotional sounds, and to inspire confidence in anyone who is on a healing journey.
