i’m jamila, i make music and my cousin said she likes it so here i am with my huge ego and a new song :)
“why music is my life” was the name of the first article in I wrote in my elementary school newspaper when I was in the third grade.
That statement hasn’t changed since.
After playing Marimba, Vibraphone, Drums, Violin, Bass and Acoustic Guitar,
I finally pursued my passion in taking singing lessons and starting to play the electric bass.
Singing always feels like it’s the right thing to do and I’m so grateful that I get to pursue it as intensely as I am right now.
If I could tell my 3 y/o self that we make songs (almost) by ourselves she would go crazy.
I know because I am :)
