Jan Benkest is a Cologne (GER) based artist. Rooted in Hip Hop, he started rapping at an early age, played drums and later made guitar his main instrument. Coming from a multicultural city, traveling around the world and being involved in several multicultural projects, he developed a fine sense for elaborate beats and melodies.
For now his life is completely dedicated to the art of music.
2023 he contacted and produced two songs with Malou Lovis, just before she won The voice of Germany.
2024 he moved to his Van, went to Portugal and started the Live Music project Taphani Benkest.
Besides that he is writing and producing several songs with various artists.
