Jane’s Awake is a project by songwriter and producer Nick Sheppard, formed online during lockdown and bringing together musicians from across the world.
Their sound stems from the folk tradition and is reminiscent of the work of Sandy Denny and Nick Drake, coupled with the lyrical intensity of Leonard Cohen – simple arrangements of guitar, piano and strings filled out by the haunting and warm vocal melodies.
