Widely known as Malaysia’s Queen of Shanghai Jazz, Janet Lee is a passionate bilingual performer with a diverse portfolio that spans music, theatre and film. Janet’s claim to fame is in combining mid-century Mandarin Pop with old-school American songbook show tunes to deliver a unique repertoire.
To date, Janet has produced two albums under her belt, Restless Heart (2015) and Cinnabar Rouge (2017). Both were accompanied by solo concerts to full houses and rapturous response. Cinnabar Rouge was also nominated for Best Popular Evergreen Album and Best Album Cover Design category winner at the 2018 Malaysia PWH Music Award.
