Born and raised in Jena Louisiana, Janet Thompson has been the worship pastor at Bayou Blue Assembly for 30 years, alongside her husband, Patrick Thompson. She was singing from a young age, being offered multiple deals and musical career opportunities during her high school years. As she approached her future and the big decision she was being faced with, Janet made the decision that her voice was both from and for God alone. She abandoned the world and a secular career in music to lead worship. Over the years, she has produced several albums and worked with and trained many other artists. Janet is passionate about unifying hymns with contemporary worship to create timeless worship to reach every heart, in every nation, so that all may experience the purity of the presence of God.
