Janice Mangion is a singer/songwriter whose talent was first discovered on the television programme “L-Isfida” prior to taking part in a series of local music competitions, including: Konkors Kanzunetta Indipendenza, the Summer Hit Song Contest, L-Għanja tal-Poplu, Malta Eurovision Song Contest and Mużika Mużika – Festival Kanzunetta Maltija.
Following the 2nd place result of <a href="spotify:track:2ZU7gGZdmGmJSNzBTIBtVU" data-name="Kewkba">Kewkba</a> in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2017, Janice represented Malta: at two high profile music festivals: the Slaviansky Bazaar in Belarus, where she finished in the Top 10, and the International Pop Music Festival in Bulgaria, earning the title of Best Female Vocalist. In 2024, Janice released <a href="spotify:track:0Mab5nSHo58OJ9idLJnl7g" data-name="Ġawhra f'Qalbi">Ġawhra f'Qalbi</a>, which she co-wrote with Mark Scicluna. It marked the second time she penned lyrics in Maltese. The song, accompanied by a music video shot at Palazzo Parisio, was very well received.
Janice is also closely associated with the festive season, frequently invited to perform Twieled il-Messija, a song she originally recorded for the album Ħelu Bambin in aid of Id-Dar tal-Providenza. In 2025, she revisited another of her signature songs when she was invited to perform Kewkba at the OGAE Malta Pre-Party for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest.
