As a frontman of Flamingo in Radio Ostrava he defined the famous Czech (Ostrava) soul movement and created a couple of chart-hits. His promising musical career has practically ended with the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia, as he emigrated shortly after August 21, 1968 to Switzerland. After the Velvet Revolution, he made dozens of new recordings. He is considered to be one of the European´s soul legends.
