<a href="spotify:artist:6sRfJrmHyesUsBvJTgIuQA" data-name="Jasmar Cassar">Jasmar Cassar</a> is a Maltese singer/songwriter. He was born on the 14th of October 1998 and then raised by his mother after his father passed away. A while after, he found himself battling a life-threatening illness and was diagnosed with Cancer at the age of three.
At the tender age of seven, Jasmar started showing an interest in music and developed a passion for singing after watching his mother perform on stage.
Two of the greatest achievements for Jasmar as a child were competing as a finalist in Malta's Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2008 & once again in 2010.
During Jasmar’s teenage years, as his voice started to develop and change he fell into a depression and as a result, he dropped out of school and even stopped singing for some time. Later on in life, he continued school and successfully graduated from post-secondary.
In 2015, Jasmar released his first single <a href="spotify:track:6QjzExeSaMLAG8Pq3uuiit" data-name="Just Be">Just Be</a> which helped him set his first steps into the real music world. From then, he started focusing on releasing his first album. Between 2015 and 2018, Jasmar took his time to write new music as well as release a total of four single along with a music video.
In 2018, he auditioned for the first season of X Factor Malta and managed to make it through the Judges’ auditions to Bootcamp with three yeses alongside 119 other contestants.
On the 14th of April 2019, Jasmar released his debut album <a href="spotify:album:6xsqAEebdmOMEC51bVxK6Y" data-name="Journey to Freedom">Journey to Freedom</a>.
