Achilles' new experimental / instrumental live duo partnership with drummer Forrest Mitchell is his latest and most unique in a long, divergent path of musical endeavors spanning classical piano and orchestra, to hero worship of late 70's & early 80's recordings (Jeff Beck, Joe Jackson, The Police, 'ABACAB'-era Genesis... the Mighty Van Halen, Mutt Lange's über production with Def Leppard, The Cars), all the while working toward new discoveries of what melodic-driven rock instrumentalism can achieve -- in the studio and on the stage.

2024 has been a banner year amidst new releases, festival headlining tour performances, and celebration of an inaugural orchestral performance at Carnegie Hall. When not in the studio (and on the road) Achilles entertains an ongoing side profession as an aerospace consultant, having leveraged acoustic engineering chops into a recent technical consultation with NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory to help scientists successfully capture the first recorded sounds from the planet Mars, with the Mars 2020 Perseverance rover mission.
