Jason Pilling

Musician emerged, like a butterfly, from a white collar cocoon. He writes to the subjects of a person with experience: marriage, kids, jobs, old friends, new friends, not friends, punches taken, hills climbed. The lyrics aren't always super-serious, but they're never cliche.

From 2019 and on Jason has released over 40 tracks. There is a fair amount of genre variety centred around indie folk, so be prepared for some rockers followed shortly by moments of tenderness when in shuffle mode. "Power Down", a 2024 album, is representative of the dream band for an acoustic folk rock show. In 2025, a ukulele based album called "Post Nursery Rhymes" is being released. Songs will keep coming, the pipeline is full...Jason likes to say "always be recording".

Jason also makes instruments, with behind the scenes making of videos on Instagram and YouTube. These instruments have started to appear in recordings, with lap steel and tambourines already on the discography here. The more recently built double bass and electric ukulele are getting some studio work, with releases in good time.
