The members of Javelin have known and worked with one another for almost a decade, consisting of lead singer and drummer Jacob Bieber, lead and rhythm guitar player and back-up vocalist Anthony Pollock, Bass player and back-up vocalist Josh Van Beek, and lead and rhythm guitarist Jared Bieber. The four worked with one another through various bands from as early as 2014.
TELEFUNKER was released on March 13th, 2025, almost a year after it went into production in April of 2024. Knowing exactly how they wanted it to sound, the band decided to record and mix the album entirely by themselves. There was no professional studio or thousands of dollars invested into bringing their vision to life, instead the band used what they had available. All recording equipment was rented and then set up in your average finished basement, no studio, nothing, and would later finish recording in the upstairs guest room of a farmhouse.
Anthony would go on to mix the album all on his own. Despite having no true prior experience in the industry, the band as a whole had faith in him and the final product he'd deliver. In its final stages, TELEFUNKER would be mastered by Siegfried Meier of Beach Road Mastering and all art for the album was hand drawn by Dennis Dale owner of Dale's Performance Automotive.
TELEFUNKER marks the beginning of Javelin's journey moving forward as a band with much more to come ahead.
