Javier Vaquera

Born in the Rio Grande Valley (956), Javier Vaquera grew up listening to the old school corridos of Ramon Ayala y sus bravos del Norte,Cadetes de Linares, Invasores de Nuevo León among others. In his teenage years he immersed himself with corridos from Chalino Sanchez and Beto Quintanilla. He started to write his first songs and before long he developed a knack for writing corridos on the spot for listeners. He has been recorded by the well known Los Leones del Norte and Los Amables del Norte. His work has been praised by fame corrido writers Beto Quintanilla, Ruben Villareal as well as Nacho Hernandez. He now writes to not only leave a mark but a legacy in the genre. As he states, “ de mi mente pa mi gente”
