Originality is essential if one intends on establishing longevity but also becoming a formidable force in the arena of hip-hop. At the tender age of 11, Queens bred emcee, Jay Cavalier, developed a keen ability to maneuver words thus him majoring in the art of Hip-Hop. Rather than simply settle for being an average listener, Jay opted to emulate his idols – ranging from Jay-Z to 50 Cent – and tackle upon the challenge of being a rapper. With little resources at his disposal – a boombox and karaoke machine – he created magic with this vivid imagination and heartfelt reality tales involving events in his life. With endless drive and dedication, Jay would evolve into the musician he is today. Jay has wowed critics and Angels Camp audience members alike with his infallible stage performances. By grooming himself on the sport of performing, he excelled at an immeasurable rate. He was even crowned victorious at showcases such as “Faces in the Crowd” at the legendary S.O.B’s and also the “BQE Hip-Hop Shop Showcase.” While continuing to perform, Jay released his first mixtape “Tunnel Vision" and shortly after he released “Pieces of Me” The Album. After a brief hiatus, Cavalier recently released his third project entitled "Truth Be Told” featuring the single “Say So” prod. By Maskerade.
