Jay Doria is an upcoming artist from the suburbs of Chicago. From a young age he has had a love for music as he was a Violinist in his Middle school and Junior high Orchestra for a number of years. From there he found himself writing and recording himself in High School. While battling a number of demons from High School through College, he found writing to be his form of therapy. Wanting to test his limits he began learning music theory and downloading software to broaden his knowledge in the song recording process. Influenced by many Hip-Hop artists such as Kid Cudi and Mac Miller, he realized the power behind speaking through emotions and embracing them. Through his early career he began rapping over many Lo-Fi and conscious beats exploring how he wanted to reach his audience. He doesn't consider himself as being labeled to one genre. While experimenting with his sound during the early stages of Covid, he began to realize his love for the Pop and Alternative genres. Influences such as Dominic Fike and Still Woozy have helped shape his sound today. He released his first Pop single "Lose It' on September 18th, 2020 gaining traction from forces such as ESPN, American Eagle, and NBA. Since then he has been writing his debut album that will showcase his influences from Hip-Hop, Pop, and Alternative. His lead single from his debut album- "Leopard Jeans" releases on January 28th, 2022. He is confident that his debut album will solidify his space within the music industry.
