Jay Gatz

Jay Gatz is a multi-faceted Boston born artist, hip-hop lyricist, songwriter and entrepreneur. He began rapping and producing mixtapes at the age of seven, and it was at the age of 11 when he recorded his first mixtape on a karaoke machine and the name was given to him metaphorically referring to the book, The Great Gatsby.

On August 14th 2019, Gatz released his mouth-watering project, Good Food on all digital streaming platforms, where he worked the upbeat, afro-pop theme, Ana Conda as his lead single. In October, he performed at the A3C Conference and Festival in Atlanta, GA. He has been featured in publications such as Thisis50, MiixtapeChiick, Based Boston, RemyTV, Vanyaland & More. He has also opened up for the likes of Dave East, Styles P, Uncle Murda, Locksmith, Baby E, Futuristic, Lil Freaky, Termanology & more.


Gatz then followed-up with his most therapeutic project yet, Fireflies on Black Friday, November 27th, 2020. Since then he‘s released four music videos off of it that’s heavily changed the metrics of his YouTube channel.


Following Fireflies, Gatz released “Good Food: Plate 2,” his follow-up to his 2019 project, “Good Food.” The album released on his one year anniversary date of “Fireflies,” on Thanksgiving, November 26th, 2021 where he headlined a concert and album release party for the very first time.
