Jay Glavany is an artist, producer and curator. Jay produces and writes all his songs, collaborating with like-minded creatives who see his vision and can help elevate his art. His affinity for curation bleeds into his production process; picking out his favourite sounds and rhythms, then piecing it all together to provide a listening experience you can almost see. Jay is never afraid to push his boundaries and still knows how to carefully put together music that is authentically him.
Since 2017, Jay has been building a music catalogue that rivals most of Toronto’s rising acts. His first project ‘Let’s Get Lost’ was a strong debut and arrival statement to the Toronto R&B scene. The second project ‘Look What You’ve Done’ was a sonic evolution that cohesively delivered some of his best songs to date. Throughout the years, he released various standalone singles, an instrumental project and a special cover EP titled ‘Deep Cuts’ that showcased his ability to reconstruct timeless works into a blend of nostalgia and futurism. Jay’s recent EP ‘Indigo’, is what he calls “a voyage of self-exploration” and is arguably his most refined work yet.
As a musician, Jay wants to make songs that are true to him, at whatever stage of life he’s in. A cathartic process, making his songs more vulnerable as he continues his creative journey. Glavany’s 2019 single “Only You” recently landed in the 2024 blockbuster Bad Boys: Ride or Die, validating his commitment to creating timeless music.
