Jay Guss

Jay Guss — born Jose Gustavo De La Ossa Guerra on March 29 — is a Colombian-born pop singer and songwriter based in Pisa, Italy. Fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish, he blends Latin warmth with Italian elegance, creating music that bridges cultures and speaks to the heart.

Growing up surrounded by design, music, and art, Jay discovered songwriting as a powerful form of self-expression and connection. Inspired by artists such as Mina, Armando Manzanero, Irama, Marco Mengoni, Nicola Di Bari, Lucio Dalla, Shakira, Il Divo, and by the rhythms of Latin pop, opera, and traditional cumbia, he began crafting songs that draw on personal experiences and universal themes.

In May 2024, he released his debut single, Una segunda vez, produced by Faber Arena, a fusion of pop and Latin urban pop about the importance of recognizing one’s own mistakes. This was followed by Il primo sbaglio importante?, produced by Eros Bianchi (@Zuzzer), a heartfelt story about the end of a relationship. His third release, Luce Marina, also produced by Bianchi, is dedicated to his grandmother, while Per noi innamorati is a tribute to the classic Italian song by Gianni Togni.

With his voice, multicultural influences, and sincere storytelling, Jay Guss continues to grow as an artist, building a repertoire that resonates with listeners around the world. A new album is currently in the works.
