Jay Munday is a published singer-songwriter and multi-Instrumentalist born in Portsmouth on the south coast of England. Jay has spent 20 years honing their craft as both a musician and songwriter, including supporting signed artists and performing at festivals all over the south of England.

Jay was raised listening to mo-town, funk, soul, and disco classics such as Nile Rodgers, Marvin Gaye, Al Greene, and Stevie Wonder. Jay developed their musical taste and style to include rock bands and jazz greats such as Biffy Clyro, YellowJackets, Robben Ford, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis. This is evident in their eclectic, chameleonic songwriting that traverses multiple genres and styles.

Jay spent the early stages of their music career performing as much as they possibly could, supporting signed acts such as Sherman Robertson, Jon Amor, Larry Garner, Peter Katz, and Mamas Gun. This eventually led to Jay becoming published as a songwriter by Hatfish Music Publishing. Jay used this as a platform to write music, record, and have music sent for synchronisation with Universal. Now getting their music distributed by UnitedMasters

Jay now has a young family who are their everything. This has spurred Jay on to push their own music again as an example to their son to never stop following your dreams.
