Jay Rapoport is the Director of URJ 6 Points Creative Arts Academy, a Jewish arts camp located just outside of Philadelphia. Prior to that he was the Director of Lifelong Learning at Temple Sholom of Chicago for 8 years. He also served for seven summers on the faculty of URJ Camp OSRUI, and spent 17 summers before that as the songleader and then director of Camp Rodef Shalom. Originally from the Washington, DC area, Jay has appeared on the Disney Family Holiday Singalong, and received funding from the Covenant Foundation for his virtual children’s choir song, “La-bri’ut.” Jay lives in Chicago and performs regularly with Jewish Rock Radio’s “Chicago Sings” ensemble of local Jewish composers.
