With a steady stream of house, disco and techno releases starting back in 2007 Jay Shepheard is an established and well recognised staple of the genres. Since his early 12"s on Munich's Compost Black Label, including the breakthrough track 'Pipes N Sneakers', he has gone on to release on a diverse range of labels including Diynamic, Pets Recordings, Freerange, Buzzin Fly, Poker Flat, Paper, Rebirth as well as his own respected Retrofit imprint started in 2010. These releases have earned him nominations for best Deep House and best Nu Disco artist in the Beatport awards as well as much praise from the press and DJ community and top sales positions on both the main vinyl and digital stores.
As well as his studio work Jay is well known for his talent behind the decks, with an ear for music lovingly honed during seven years working at UK online vinyl store Juno Records, and as a live artist, touring the world and playing at many of the worlds most respected venues like Fabric London or Panorama Bar Berlin.
In the past ten years since the debut release Shepheard has gone on to release twenty two original EPs, two albums and over 50 remixes. In late 2016 he made his long awaited Boiler Room debut and during 2017 he showed no sign of slowing down with new vinyl EPs for labels such as Nothing Is Real (the new Rebirth sister label), Pets Recordings and Chord. Many more productions on the way in 2019 from the Shepheard music machine and more signings to be announced soon...
