Jay Sierra

Jay Sierra is a Sydney based vocalist and guitarist. His musical background is diverse having been trained in musical theatre and classical music from a young age and then in contemporary pop and RnB music as a young adult. His main influences as a performer today are Anderson Paak, Stevie Wonder, Mac Ayres and Sam Kim which sees Jay playing a variety of soul, pop and hip- hop styles with an acoustic twist.

Jay's biggest achievement to date would be with internationally recognised company Cirque du Soleil. He starred as the title character of the show 'Axel'. Axel is Cirque du Soleil's second ice show which saw him singing, playing guitar and bass, acting, dancing and ice skating, sometimes combining all of these elements at the same time! The show was touring North America playing 6-10 shows a week.

For the past 9 years Jay has made his living off of solo and duo acoustic shows around Sydney. The combination of vocals, guitar and a loop pedal allows him to provide a mixture of sounds and grooves that creates a dynamic suited to many venues. Whether it's a chilled out Sunday brunch, a bride walking down the aisle or a 2am after party Jay is able to cater to his crowd and provide them with whatever energy they desire.
