Jay has tested the boundaries of rock and hip-hop alike by walking a tightrope between pop, punk, metal, hardcore, electronic, acoustic, and even a little R&B after ditching his rap alter-ego.
This high-wire balancing act attracted a faithful fan base which helped generate over 100,000 streams after releasing his debut rock effort “Welcome To My Darkside”. But before the intense rage, anger and depression, Jay launched 6 albums from 2017 to 2020. During that run, Jay collaborated with Mozzy & Darrein STL on “Bad”, D12 on “Run It”, Twisted Insane & D-Loc the Gill God with “On Topic” and Kutt Calhoun on the hype club-banger “Own Thang” just to name a few. Beyond selling out shows all over Northern California Jay has received acclaim from Faygoluvers; crowned with “Song Of The Year” with the 2017 single “Busted”.
Since the 2019 “Melencholy” release, Jay has connected with SteadyGrind Music Publishing and has since created an entire new wave of music. This outlet for Jay’s creativity functions as a “therapy of sorts,” as Jay continues to challenge himself to learn new instruments and traverse musical genres and styles. In 2023, Jay jump-started the award winning Metal band BLVKOUT while also being crowned the “Top Hip-Hop Artist of 2024” by Bohemian Norbays.
