Luxembourg based, British indie artist Jayd is leaning toward a different sound in 2021. Singer-songwriter Courtney Jayd Lumsden has always recorded, produced and released her own music, shifting from mainstream pop on her 2016 debut EP Hero to Indie pop themes on her upcoming release Down Day (2021).


The artist expanded not only with more people, working along side UK production studio DELTA STAR, but with more instruments and new techniques. Jayd blew the dust off her trumpet, recorded some interesting samples and began creating indie-pop records that fit nicely in the libraries of fans of Jeremy Zucker or Taylor Swifts album ‘Folklore’..
Now she’s gearing up to release “Down Day" which deeply reflects on coping with anxiety.
“'Down Day' is about coming to terms with anxiety, giving yourself space and time to understand it. If you're dealing with anxiety, you might feel very alone and that’s the scariest part of it, but you’re not and once you know that, it gets easier”
The captivating single Down Day by Jayd is out July 30th.
