From Seoul to Los Angeles, Alternative Pop/R&B singer JAYDA breaks boundaries by infusing both classical influences and Korean roots into her experimental soulful music. As a young child, JAYDA suffered from a Selective Mutism that prevented her from being able to speak and interact with others. Despite her mother’s best efforts to find a solution, it wasn’t until JAYDA discovered piano and singing that she finally started to overcome her social anxiety disorder. This newfound passion for music would eventually allow JAYDA to go on to achieve many musical achievements and awards, including composing her first orchestra piece at the age of 13. Sensing that JAYDA’s voice was too soulful for the Korean music industry, JAYDA’s vocal coach encouraged her to move to Los Angeles where she could hone her love for Hip hop & R&B. While in Los Angeles, JAYDA continued to find success songwriting, scoring a songwriting placement for the sensational J-Pop boy bands “A.B.C.-Z” that landed #2 on the J-Pop charts.
In 2018, Since JAYDA's debut "Satellite (Feat. JFont)" as a solo artist, she has continued to focus on cultivating and defining her sound, experimenting with afrobeats and modern hip hop alongside her years of classical training. Embracing both her age and her roots, this 29 years old songstress is poised to take the Pop & R&B world by storm. Through her music, JAYDA hopes to spread positive energy to the world by staying true to herself and breaking social norms.
