Jayemkayem is a club DJ and music producer known for her bass-heavy hybrid sets that float effortlessly across the musical spectrum of UK Garage, Bass House, Breaks, Global Club and more.
She has performed at several of Canada’s premier electronic music festivals including Piknic Électronik, VELD Music Festival, Electric Island and Badlands, and has been official support for a wide range of artists including Kaytranada, Claptone, Interplanetary Criminal, Glass Petals, and many more.
In addition to her solo releases, Jayem is half of production duo Chinese Spy Balloon with her partner Freeza Chin. Juno Records called their first EP a “handsome bounty of smooth, futuristic and forward-thinking UKG.” Together they run Bare Selection, an indie label that releases music spanning a wide range of genres with an interest in UK underground and 140bpm sounds.
