Jayme K. Carroll a.k.a. Jayme Fortune is a recording artist from Portland, Oregon. Raised in the suburbs of Tigard, Fortune arranged his first song, “180” in high school. In 2013 he released a full-length project: ‘Diamonds In The Rough’, under the moniker Numatik. Shortly after, he would sign a two-year contract with the independent record label Roots of Society Records.
In 2016 Jayme’s album, ‘31/30’ was in post-production with California based Theophanous Entertainment. The first single, “On Second Thought” was released in the summer of 2017 under his legal name, Jayme Carroll. In an attempt to relocate to San Francisco, Carroll lost faith in the efficacy of the label; and moved back to Oregon.
Fans would not hear from Carroll until 2019 when he announced a final rebrand, with the words: ‘Fresh start, I’m on a new wave’, Jayme Fortune was reborn. Fortune would refine his sound while simultaneously launching his label Firesyde Records. His debut album, “Hanbun, Hero” was distributed March of 2020. The singles used to promote the project are as follows: ‘Woundead’, ‘Skyy Blue’, and ‘Moray Eels’.
Most recently Jayme Fortune has collaborated with producer Jack Parker for their highly anticipated single ‘Savior Complex’. With a brutally honest point of view, Fortune weaves together colorful storytelling with a faith-driven lyricism.
