Adelaide born and raised singer-songwriter Jayne of June (Katina Rennie) grew up surrounded by musical opportunities. Learning multiple instruments; taking singing and dance lessons; going on to study dance full time and performing from a young age, she was born a natural performer. Drawn to the piano through Delta Goodrem’s “Innocent Eyes” era, and inspired by songwriters Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, she began writing her own songs and lyrics on the piano at the age of nine. Her parents nurtured her talent throughout her life into her now late-twenties, where after a long time of writing and working on her craft, she’s ready to share the stories from her notebook.
After experiencing heartache in early 2020, Jayne of June utilised the restrictions of the worldwide pandemic to focus her energy into something that would help her navigate her emotions and dig deeper into her life’s purpose.
After working with Melbourne producer Benjamin McCarthy, Jayne of June’s first single “Glow Up” was released in April of 2021, which was shortly followed by “Soul Searching” and “Twenties”. The two continued to create unreleased tracks, including “Worthy” set to feature on her upcoming EP. Jayne of June’s last six months have been spent working with Adelaide producer Israel Amoy and mastering engineer Wayne Sunderland to create 4/5 songs for her EP “Meraki”, scheduled to be released on February 11th, 2022.
