Chicagoland artist Jayskee delivers personal yet very relatable lyrics about depression and substance abuse using melodic and ethereal beats, resembling top artists such as Trippie Redd, 347aidan and the late XXXTENTACION with subtle yet intricate vibes from other artists such as Day Wave, Tame Impala and Nevershoutnever. Born in 1998, the Chicago artist grew up listening to artists such as Chief Keef, Speaker Knockerz, OutKast, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and many more. He later turned to freestyling in school around the age of 12 with a group of friends and continued it throughout his course in High School. Influenced by various genres and artists from the likes of Speaker Knockerz and Lil Bibby to artists such as Wale and Chance The Rapper to bands such as Bring Me The Horizon, Sum 41, and Sleeping with Sirens. Jayskee began making music under the alias NOMVD, a name derived from his desire to wander and never be in one place for too long. His early tracks were all posted on SoundCloud, which were then later Mass Deleted with only 2 songs being reuploaded leading up to 2017's In Luv single Produced by Pxzvc, featuring Baulm. His single "In Luv" is currently at 25,000,000 all-time streams on Spotify. Jayskee has currently taken a break from music, but is expected to make a return in early 2025.
