Jazz Against The Machine

"Our version of jazz is a tribute to grunge, indie and the crossover records of the nineties" say Jazz Against The Machine. For the full force of the songs to unfold in jazz, they need nothing more than trumpet, vibraphone, bass and drums. The first few recordings they undaringly put on the web, never thinking that there would be any interest in Sepultura on Jazz. A few million Youtube views later, they released those first recordings as the "Black Bossa" album ... and now "Unsung" is already their third album!

The four musicians of Jazz Against The Machine are musically so-cialized in the 90s. But they skilfully avoided the Eurodance and Girl-/Boyband Trash and gave themselves to more exciting topics like Jungle, Trip Hop, Techno, Crossover and Grunge. Luckily! Because on their third studio album "Unsung" they draw from the rich fund of their 90s heroes and that are Helmet, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Weezer, the Smashing Pumpkins and the New York post hardcore band Helmet. And also in the direction of Hip Hop, Trip Hop JATM look around and cover the great "Roads" by Portishead and shred Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" in a rockin' Jazz garb! And - last but not least - one thing must of course never be missing from Jazz Against The Machine: a cover of the eponymous band from L.A., here with "Bulls on Parade".
