Jazzy June

Jazzy June, is a 29 year-old musician from Durban, in the Kingdom of the Zulu’s, in KwaZulu Natal. June is known most for his contribution as a Founding Member of the pioneering Durban Hip Hop group, PalmTree Paradise, which achieved great success and fame nationally with their hit single Unbelievable.
Jazzy June started making music during his Primary School days at the age of 12, being in the school choir and forming a rap group with his friends. In high school, June and his colleagues were well known for music and performed regularly at talent contests, school concerts and any platform they could find.
Attending the University of KwaZulu Natal changed his life and music career as this is where things started really taking off, meeting producers and networking with other artists. June released many university party hits such as Gcwala NgeGhost, Usazongazi, Mali Yethu, the MVSTVBV EP and many more. In 2015, he met his PalmTree Paradise co-founders and they would go on to take the country by storm in the 2 years that followed. He graduated from the University of KwaZulu Natal with a Bachelor of Social Science Degree.
His music has changed a lot since his University days, becoming more Jazzy, Soulful and honest, with June speaking his truth. His goal with music is to inspire, teach and promote Self-Discovery, Love and Mental Health.
Soul Rap is how he describes his music; his sound is melodically soothing, his lyrics are motivational with a positive outlook.
