From performing in sold out arenas, featuring on Platinum selling albums and world wide tour performances with hip-hop global iconic megastars such as Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy… At age 19, Atlanta based artist, JaBar has already accomplished what most superstars aspire to do in their lifetime!!!
Born Justin Benjamin Alex Rucker, JaBar has been passionate about music since childhood. Since Grade 2 JaBar would get involved in any and every school music and theatre program he could join, participating in chorus and acting in school plays. This gave him not only the early interest in developing his talents as an entertainer but also the skills to make it happen! By fifth grade JaBar’s love and passion for music turned into direction and focus... It was time to get serious!
He started creating demo tapes by recording himself on his Beatbox. He picked up a phone book and started calling every music label/company he could find listed, asking where he could send his demo.
At age 16, he recorded his first rap song, "Don't Go", with his friend’s sister. This was at the onset of Soulja Boys career. Soulja Boy went on the “Crank Dat” tour that summer. When Soulja Boy returned to Atlanta they met back up and JaBar played Soulja some of his work. Soulja Boy immediately recognized the talent in JaBar and asked if he was serious and wanted to pursue his career as a rapper. JaBar was serious and ready. In 2004 they formed the SODMG (Stacks On Deck Money Gang)
