JC Almeida

João Carlos (JC) Almeida (born August 16, 1995), known professionally as JC Almeida, is a Portuguese singer, songwriter, dancer and producer. He is known for his YouTube videos where he covered songs from several artists, such as Michael Jackson and Ed Sheeran. He is also known for having an identical singing style to Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and other Motown artists - artists he claims to have inspired him to pursue his dream of singing professionally from a young age. Almeida began performing as a teenager, singing and dancing at school talent shows and open mic nights. After graduating high school, he studied Marketing Management, before dropping out to pursue a music career. In 2016, he moved to London, United Kingdom, to study at Point Blank Music School, renowned for its singing and music production courses. In 2017, JC traveled to Los Angeles, California, in hopes of finding a music producer. Once his search was proven unsuccessful, he returned to Portugal, his home country. While in Los Angeles, he spent time with YouTube and TikTok sensation Carson Lueders, with whom he filmed an impromptu acapella rendition of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’. He studied Musical Theatre from 2018 to 2019. JC is currently working on his debut EP - he launched his debut single ‘Find My Way’ in 2020, his second single ‘Lover Girl’ in February 2022 and his third single ‘The New Generation’ in 2024.
