JC Cassis is an independent artist/singer/songwriter/producer from New York City.
Her latest release is a collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:3NegWDGp038A3FIi3gSYzl" data-name="Ali Sethi">Ali Sethi</a> on two of his songs, <a href="spotify:track:0OHojF36xvB8LiWTquTdQ5" data-name="Raat Bhar">Raat Bhar</a> and <a href="spotify:track:2PS471byNbHME9ELRglEtp" data-name="Kaase Kahu">Kaase Kahu</a>.
Icedick is JC’s collaboration with <a href="spotify:artist:4tzJk9fnbo5f4DGjMZ3GmQ" data-name="Josh Nova">Josh Nova</a> that was 13 years in the making, with a hilarious animated music video inspired by Hanna-Barbera cartoons and the Ambiguously Gay Duo series on SNL.
JC first released her Four on the Floor EP in 2010, but then was invited to be a founding member of pop girl group <a href="spotify:artist:7DjV8JeCrC1lnFxHoJ50xk" data-name="Xelle">Xelle</a> on the condition that she take down her EP so that all focus would be on the new group’s music. For the next five years, the group released hit music videos, appeared on LOGO TV, Oxygen Network and VH1 and headlined pride festivals around the USA, but JC never forgot about her EP. In 2015, she decided it was time to return to her solo work.
She took a much-needed break, then dove back into music with the 2018 release of her hilarious anti-Christmas, song, <a href="spotify:album:6COfdpH09kYvyOW3IyeoZf" data-name="Christmas Is Bullshit">Christmas Is Bullshit</a>, which she performed to packed rooms around NYC, even once sharing the stage with <a href="spotify:artist:2URUumnB8mguimUYWej7Vh" data-name="David Cross">David Cross</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0f4zEF6vddRYg7Y3GDL8lk" data-name="Jim Gaffigan">Jim Gaffigan</a>.
JC looks forward to creating new songs and connecting with new fans around the world.
