A Young Boy with a dream and passion for music turns into an artist dedicated to his craft, JCHRIS is taking the Industry by Storm.
Born JohnChris Ndubuisi Onyeukwu on the 11th Of May, 2004, JCHRIS is a Nigerian musician who blends hip-hop with different genres. He hails from Abia State in the Eastern part of Nigeria but was born in Cotonou, Republic of Benin.
Blessed with a skill of rapping and a voice of singing JCHRIS started music professionally in 2020 after releasing his first song ICE and has never looked back since. From 2020 till 2022 He released six singles and a mixtape that dropped on the 2nd of December, 2022. He got alot of his music influences from various artists like Bob Marley, Lucky Dube, Akon, Micheal Jackson, Céline Dion and so much more whose songs throughout his childhood were huge contributors to his growth and love for music. He was introduced to hip-hop in 2014 when he first got into secondary school and came across an Eminem song,I'm not Afraid. He has been listening to hip-hop ever since going on to discover music from artists like J. Cole who severely influenced him musically. He first started off freestyling on Instagram early 2018 and close to the end of the year teamed up with Russian producer Snare1.0 who saw one of his freestyles on Instagram and fell in love with his style, messaged him, and the two have been working and collaborating together ever since, also going on to create BROKEN SOULS their brand, label and creative company.
