Following in the footsteps of fellow French producer/DJ David Guetta, Jean-Roch became a chart star as a forty-something with a little help from an array of U.S. R&B superstars. Born Jean-Roch Pedri in Toulon in 1966, his duties to the family-run restaurant put paid to his teenage aspirations of becoming a footballer, but ironically, he went on to score his first hit single with France's official anthem for Euro 2004, "Can You Feel It." Jean-Roch spent the rest of the decade building up his VIP Room empire, launching nightclubs in Saint-Tropez, Paris, and Luxembourg, but returned to the music scene in 2010 with the Top Ten hit "My Love Is Over" and later, his debut solo album Music Saved My Life, which featured guest appearances from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Pitbull, and Amerie. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi
