JeanMi Chapron was born in the glorious Sixties, in Brittany, France. Musicians sometimes appear where they can. But he feels very lucky being born in Brittany, which he loves music and culture and celtic spirit. Not because of Brittany, not because of France, he likes Rickenbacker guitars, Fender amps, 66 Ford Mustang. Cliché. Anyway, the Sixties are going to turn 60. So he will. His U.K. uncles are The Beatles and musical family. His U.S. uncles are Tom Petty and the Heartbrakers and musical relatives. Which makes quite huge family, indeed.
Over the last three (could we say four ?) decades, JeanMi Chapron played and performed with several (lots) local rock and pop bands and solo artists with lots of projects and… lots of projects. Meanwhile, he started writing his own songs, and recording them, noticing that songs last quite much longer than bands, and even longer some friendships that were not real friendships. Started with Fostex 4-track tape machine. The computers came in late 90s. Some collaborations through the internet with various artists, member of the venerable authors-composers society SACEM, he wrote about 150 songs. He recorded and produced several albums with independant artists of his aera, and still writes songs. He wrote and produced two 13-song albums as a solo artist (« Incidences », in 2016, and « Au-dessus des nuages » recorded during the lockdown, released in 2023, soon here, on Spotify.) And a third album is on its way, through the recording softwares.
