French London-based singer songwriter and producer Chloé Bigorre, aka Jeans & Linen, left behind a promising career as a product designer at Meta to find solace in the more nourishing and healing path of making music.
Self-producing most of her tracks, she transports the listener into her internal world as she navigates life in her 20s seeking a sense of belonging, forming healing narratives for past hardships and fervently reconnecting with her own body.
Taking inspiration from indie folk, alt-rock and chamber pop, with Angie McMahon, Daughter, Chelsea Wolfe, Patti Smith high on her list, but also from ancient folk tales and esoteric literature, she uses songwriting as a way to reconcile her inner and outer life, tapping into her intuition to find wisdom and beauty in overwhelming emotions. Through her lyrics she urges herself and others to process their feelings rather than resist them: reconcile with lingering ghosts from the past, gather strength to leave infertile soil behind, build a home for rage to grow and pass.
