Jefferson McDonald is a pianist/vocalist hailing from the Finger Lakes Region of Upstate New York. Growing up on a 220-acre organic table meats farm, he never shied away from work, but found that playing the piano would get him out of all sorts of chores, so starting playing avidly at a young age. His father, Peter McDonald, was a bluegrass musician and played just about every instrument with a string attached to it.

Jefferson would go on to star in many plays and musicals as an actor, and received great acclaim for his portrayal of Jerry Lee Lewis in "Million Dollar Quartet" and his own musical after the same subject, "Jerry Lee Lewis vs Jerry Lee Lewis." He returned to his classical roots with a smash hit production of "2 Pianos 4 Hands" at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

During the pandemic, he teamed up with his cousin, Jason Borisoff, owner of Conveyor Studio in Brooklyn, to produce a live album of Rock 'N' Roll hits. This first effort, entitled Memphis, features a host of musical talents, including American singer/songwriter Moot Davis and Broadway's own Margo Seibert.
